    • Judging

    Online Courses:

Judges are integral to our gymnastics program. To be a judge you must first:

    • Have an AGF membership
    • Be at least fourteen years of age
    • Successfully complete a certification course and written exam
    • Shadow other judges in competitions

Most judges start at the entry level – P1.  There are two components to that certification: first, you must complete the Online P1 judges course.  Second, you must attend a one day course taught by an instructor.

Alternatively, you can petition the Women’s Judging Committee to enter the system at P2 or higher.  Please contact the women’s program coordinator if you think you might be interested in that route.  P2 – P5 judging courses are three day courses followed by a written (and sometimes video) exam.  These courses are offered at various times every fall.  Please see the AGF Calendar of Events for specific course locations and dates.

Then you may be selected from a list to attend invitational meets, Provincial Trials and Championships. As you gain experience and complete higher-level course certification, you may be eligible to judge at Western Canadian and Canadian Championships. Contact us to explore program specific requirements (Artistic, Trampoline & Tumbling etc.) for certification.

Contact AGF today to renew your judge membership.
