Kristin Klarenbach (Champions Gymnastics/Edmonton, Alberta) named to Team Canada to the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Team Canada held its Trials for the upcoming World Championships and Commonwealth Games on the weekend in Oakville (Ontario). Twelve (12) gymnasts competed in the Trials and Champions Gymnastics' Kristin Klarenbach finished 4th All-Around, 1st on vault, 3rd on beam and 4th on floor.
Following Trials, Gymnastics Canada announced the names of the six (6) gymnasts that will represent Canada at the World Championships in October in Rotterdam and it also announced the names of the five (5) gymnasts that will represent Canada at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, also in October in New Delhi (India). Kristin posted a total score of 52.35.
" Kristin competed well and hit 4-for-4 events. She demonstrated that she was ready and determined to be chosen for either team. Commonwealth Games is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and this will be very exciting for her. Kristin now needs to rest a little, get in tip-top shape and focus on her preparation for the Games, which are eight (8) weeks away." said Valérie Oudin, Kristin's coach, who was named as one of the official team coaches for Team Canada.
