Kim Shore elected to Board of Directors for Gymnastics Canada

The names of those appointed to the Board of Directors for Gymnastics Canada (GCG) has been announced following the Annual General Meeting in Ottawa. The Alberta Gymnastics Federation (AGF) is pleased to share that among the four newly elected members is our very own Kim Shore. Shore was appointed Director-at-Large and will serve a four-year mandate on the board while Jack Payne continues to serve as Vice-Chair.

Shore has also been appointed Chair of the first ever GCG SafeSport Committee, which will lead GCG members towards eradicating athlete maltreatment from gymnastics in Canada and ensuring a safe, inclusive and positive environment for all participants. Over the next four years, Shore will work alongside Payne and board members from across Canada to bring transparency, accountability and good governance to Canadian gymnastics. Congratulations!

Among the members departing from the GCG Board of Directors is Alberta's Jim Roycroft. Roycroft served two terms for a total of eight years as a Director on GCG's Board. He has also served for many years and within a variety of capacities on the AGF Board of Directors and within the AGF community. Huge thanks goes out to Roycroft for everything he has done for the sport of gymnastics!
